Last week Björn Borg challenged Marcus “Zyrken” Gustafsson, one of the top parkourists in the world, took on the challenge to do an all-night parkour trail throughout the city of London in the Björn Borg RFLX collection. Experience and view the video at http://rflx.bjornborg.com
”Parkour is not usually performed for such a long stretch – and adding the extra element of night certainly gave the challenge an extra dimension of mental strain. It was a challenge, to say the least. But I am really glad to share how to parkour by night in London”, says Marcus “Zyrken” Gustafsson.
Parkour is a holistic training discipline using movement that developed from military obstacle course training. Practitioners aim to get from A to B in the most efficient way possible. There is no official set of ”moves” in parkour, however practitioners usually have common grounds, even if their personalities and natural way of moving set them apart. Parkour teaches how to touch the world and interact with it. It is a way to overcome your fears and apply this to life, since you need to be able to control your mind in order to master the art of parkour.
Parkour is enjoying a strong trend as of late and Google searches for the word is now exceeding both surfing and skateboarding.
